A skip-level meeting is a meeting where a manager meets with the direct report of a manager they manage without that manager present. It can be beneficial for many reasons, including getting an unfiltered view of what’s happening around the team and creating a space and opportunity for direct reports to share feedback and thoughts on how to improve the organization.
