InVision Announces New Integration for Zoom, Enhancing Collaboration Capabilities Across Teams

Apr 18, 2022

InVision, a collaborative online whiteboarding and productivity platform that powers the workflows of millions of users and is trusted by the Fortune 100, has announced an integration with Zoom Video Communications, Inc., empowering Zoom users to use the Freehand app for Zoom. By using the Freehand app within the context of Zoom Meetings, teams can make collaboration even more interactive, more inclusive, and ultimately, more productive. Attendees will be able to collaborate on both new and existing Freehand canvases.

The Freehand app for Zoom is a great way to encourage engagement and foster inclusivity in brainstorms, project kickoffs, workshops, design reviews, retros, and more. In a Zoom Meeting, use the Freehand app to bring a new or existing Freehand into the collaborative meeting stage. From there, meeting members can facilitate creative connections with ease using intuitive drawing and shape tools, text and sticky notes, expressive emoji reactions, and a growing library of Smart Widgets and integrations. Canvas features feel familiar and require no training, helping all meeting attendees get comfortable right away so they can share their ideas and give feedback.

When collaborators are included, respected, and supported, they’re more likely to forge positive connections with their teammates. By giving everyone a “pen”, teams can not only tap into the ideas of the collective which drives better project outcomes, but also increases morale and grows a culture of healthy communication. The feeling of true belonging and being heard helps people ultimately have a higher level of job satisfaction which combats turnover, especially in distributed workplaces.

“One of the greatest challenges of hybrid and remote work is building bonds and genuine trust with teammates whom you rarely see in person,” said Jeff Chow, Chief Product Officer at InVision. “Yet the right tools can help people overcome that challenge. Through inclusivity and intentionality, teams can form connections with teammates and strengthen culture through more interactive meetings. They can get more done and have better ideas, while building camaraderie. Zoom was already a tremendous platform, and now that teams can use the Freehand app within Zoom, they can make meetings more creative, more productive, and more engaging.”

“Zoom helps people stay connected so they can get more done together,” said Paul Magnaghi, Global ISV Program Leader, Zoom. “With the Freehand app for Zoom, meeting attendees can continue to collaborate with ease as they navigate the world of hybrid and remote work. When teams collaborate well, they create great outcomes. We are happy to welcome InVision as our newest Zoom ISV Partner; together, we can play an ever-larger role in our customers’ success.”
